Despair now habits
Where before was life
There’s affliction
Where joy used to wander
Cancer’s corrosion ate the fire
While cold breeze subtly installed itself
Passion discovered depression,
Couldn’t find it’s power anymore
Sounds muted themselves
In a maniacal act of pain
And my strings don’t dance no more
Cause their reason to, sings for another man
Happy endings are cliché
Everyone tries to differentiate
I’d be happy if these verses
Were nothing but luxury
And when I look back, the bad dreams weren’t following anymore
So when I try to fool them one more time
It led me to wake up in our bed, just you and me
Not to sorrow as it used to be
Ever since.
